I have a new poem titled "Self-Fellatio as Prayer" featured at the Nervous Breakdown. Many thanks to Wendy Chin-Tanner for taking it!
Also, I deactivated my facebook, and I must say--it is quite liberating. I find myself accidentally going to facebook then realizing I don't have one and then go on to do more productive things. It's really wonderful!
i would do that too, but i work with social media...i'm taking a vacation in a couple of weeks and deactivating it! i can barely contain myself!!! :D
ReplyDeletegreat poem by the way!
Now how can we work out our Skype date?! I hope you check your blog comments! (And nice poem, if you like praise and such!)
ReplyDeleteOcean, I just tried to find you on FB and learned you'd deactivated your account. Good for you! I have your email address, so will continue to be in touch. All best to you...
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I am back on FB. I was thinking and I think it's important to stay in contact with folks (like you!) who are far away. I think the trick is to limit my time and not scroll and scroll the stories and waste time doing nothing. It takes major self-control but I think I'm up for it.
ReplyDeleteOcean, I'm glad you're back. And, yes, it takes self-control to limit one's FB time. I check in with significant friends and that's about it (mostly because the new interface makes me feel crazy and I can only tolerate it for a limited amount of time). But it's a challenge to stay OFF entirely. Connection and dialogue are important to sustain.
